Phaethon Technology was founded out of a passion for solar technology in late 2007. Since then, solar technology has advanced and taken giant leaps forward, meaning that solar energy is becoming a viable alternative to fossil fuels in it's own right. Previously, a solar powered electrical supply would need to be used in tandem with a standard gridbased power supply. With the advances in technology that have occurred, this is now no longer the case. In fact, the excess power generated can be sold back to the grid.
